On Tuesday, President Rodrigo Duterte arrived in Japan and he received the warm welcome of Filipino workers.

The president presented a speech for them and told his vision of Filipinos not being workers in Japan anymore but instead as vacationers. He said that this will be possible as soon as the Philippines' economy becomes stable.

Duterte also expressed his gratitude towards Japan for giving Filipinos jobs and for aiding the Philippines.

"Bilyon-bilyon ho ang binibigay para makatulong sa ating bayan, kaya salamat po sa inyo," he said.

The president also reported to the OFWs the changes that have happened in the Philippines like the hotline for when a Filipino encountered a corrupt government official and his priority of building the Philippines as a better country.
