Retired SPO3 Arturo Lascañas was unaware that someone overheard his phone conversation during his plane trip to Singapore.

An anonymous female who was seated beside Lascañas during the plane ride heard the former policeman say in Bisaya, “sabihin mo kay Sir Sonny na dumating na ako,”

The anonymous female is from Davao City and is an avid supporter of President Rodrigo Duterte. She reported to Atty. Bruce Rivera the phone conversation she overheard.

There are now brewing suspicions that Lascañas may have been referring to Senator Antonio Trillanes IV who goes by the nickname Sonny.

The incident has triggers netizens to conclude that it might have been Trillanes who funded thr trip given that Lascañas felt obliged to inform the senator of his whereabouts.

Additionally, the retired policeman was seen carrying expensive luggage which is also rumored to have been provided for by Trillanes.

There is currently no certainty as to why Lascañas is in Singapore. Rivera questions if the former policeman is just there for a holy week vacation or if he is possibly running away from the imminent cases to be filed against him.
